Give us a little background on yourself. How did you wind up in foodservice?
A born and raised Florida girl, I love being outside (when it’s not 110 degrees out). Whether it’s a beach, pool, or lake, I am down! I love soccer; it has been a huge part of my life and always will be. I l like to spend my free time with all my friends and family. And I am currently trying to attend as many concert and music festivals as possible! I really enjoy photography and videography, and that is what lead me to my job here at Eaton being a media specialist.
I started in the food service industry around five years ago working at Chipotle. Worked there for a couple years (still not tired of the food). Moved onto bigger restaurants serving around Orlando. Although I technically have only been working in the foodservice industry for five years, it has been a part of my life since I was little. Being that Eaton is a family owned and run company, I have been surrounded by it my whole life. I recently joined the Eaton team this past year 2019.
Where is your favorite place to go out to dinner?
My favorite spots right now are Hawkers in St. Pete and Armature works in Tampa. My forever favorite restaurant will always be Café Tu Tu Tango in Orlando. We have our equipment in both Armature works and Café Tu Tu Tango, but not Hawkers.
What do you usually order?
Hawkers -- I order the pad Thai with udon noodles…10/10 recommend. At Armature works, I don’t have a favorite. They have so many different restaurants in there I always try something new when I go. And at Café Tu Tu Tango, I love 99.9% of the menu. It’s tapas style so I always switch it up. But if I had to pick two dishes, it would be the tuna sashimi and the sesame steak skewers.
My go to drink is currently Crown and ginger ale… until I get sick of it. But I probably never will! But I don’t discriminate I love all drinks.
What about outside of Florida? Any favorite vacation spots?
One of my favorite places I have been to so far is Colorado. It’s absolutely beautiful and everything Florida is not. Instead of beaches they have mountains, and there is also little to no humidity over there and my hair greatly appreciates that.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I wish I could see into the future to see what my life would be like in five years. But I just hope wherever I am and whatever I am doing, I am happy. Hopefully will have bought my own house by then!
