Between preparing healthy meals for America’s students, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, school nutrition professionals are our true local heroes. And although they may not wear a cape or have superpowers, they certainly serve a bigger purpose in the daily lives of our kids.
May 1, 2020 marks the 8th Annual School Lunch Hero Day, and celebrating these local heroes this year has never been more important. Faced with new challenges following the coronavirus crisis, school lunch professionals have had to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
“Today goes out to all of our local school foodservice professionals who dedicate their lives to feeding our kids nutritious meals. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to work with these wonderful people who are our true community heroes,” says Kevin Eaton of Eaton Marketing.
