Rep Prep: 10 Minutes with Kristen Carlino

Help us in welcoming our new Order Entry Specialist, Kristen Carlino. With an extensive background in the foodservice business, she's a great addition to Eaton Marketing. We sat down with Kristen for a few minutes to learn a little more about her, some of her hobbies, and some of the best advice she's ever been given.

Hi Kristen! Where are you from, and what led you to this position?

I was born and raised in Delray Beach, Florida, so I grew up in a foodservice and hospitality hotspot. I began in retail and transitioned into customer service for food distributors and suppliers.

I am looking forward to taking on this new role, and I hope that within the next five years, I can master the skills and tasks required to not only complete my daily tasks but streamline or grow my processes and/or department.

What skills or experiences from your past roles do you think will be the most beneficial in your new position here?

My over 15 years of customer service, and data processing experience will provide me with a great foundation to grow and shine in this new role.

What attracted you to Eaton Marketing, and what excites you most about joining our team?

The family values that are clearly adhered to and the comradery of the teams at Eaton prove that it’s a wonderful place for collaboration and teamwork.

What does a positive work environment look like to you?

A positive work environment is a company that acknowledges and praises its teams while aiding and supporting employees in growth and expansion.

What trends or changes in our industry are you most excited about?

Visually appealing and multi-functional cooking equipment. Open-concept kitchens and dining are on the rise, and these establishments will need equipment that can not only handle the wear and tear of a busy kitchen but also look beautiful while doing it.

What are some things that you like to do in your spare time?

Paint-by-numbers, crafting, hiking, reading, and some graphic design.

Is there anything that would surprise your co-workers about you?

I collect salt and pepper shakers!

Do you have any advice for others looking to pursue a career in this field?

Explore different paths, and branch out! Discover the multitude of different roles within this industry to find where you shine the most. Attend events, walk through showrooms, and network! Immerse yourself in the industry and soak in all that it offers.
